Epidemiology and Community Health Programs

In March 2022, Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) reaffirmed UNC Charlotte’s accreditation as a public health program through July 1, 2029, the maximum possible term, following an intensive self-study and site visit. We are proud that our BSPH, MPH and PhD programs meet the rigorous criteria and professional standards which are critical to public health workforce development and our students’ success.

On September 5, 2023, CEPH accepted UNC Charlotte’s application to transition the College of Health and Human Services to an accredited School of Public Health. Our self study for School of Public Health status is due in September 2025.

The Department Of Epidemiology and Community Health

The Department of Epidemiology and Community Health is a proud member agency of the American Public Health Association through our college’s Academy for Population Health Innovation.

The Association of Schools & Programs of Public Health represents public health schools and programs that are accredited by CEPH. ASPPH aims to strengthen the capacity of members by advising leadership, excellence, and collaboration.
