Public Health Interest: I would like to work with public health organizations to expand the public school health curriculum, primarily focusing on sexual and reproductive health.
Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: I chose the UNC Charlotte MPH program because of the Community Health Practice concentration. I wanted a program that would allow me to study the use of public health in schools. I would like to create a school environment that promotes healthy life styles from a young age.
About Me: I am interested in children’s literature and the impact that books have on our lives. My apartment is overflowing with books for all ages. I am in the process of writing a young adult novel to raise awareness of teen pregnancy.
