Undergraduate Degree: B.S. in Public Health with a minor in Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW)

Public Health Interest: Community health resources and connecting patients with needed services/resources.

Public Health Experience: Served as the point of contact for all incoming injured/pregnant/EFM service members at Naval Base San Diego from 2019-2021. Served as command liaison to Naval Medical Center Balboa for 1st LT division; Responsible for appointment tracking, vaccination and dental care tracking, and reasonable accommodation requests for 80-125 service members. Connected pregnant service members with available resources (food pantry’s, WIC/EBT, Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society).

Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: UNCC has faculty and staff that I respect and enjoy learning from. The program is also friendly to my schedule as a non-traditional student with other obligations.
