Giving to the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health
CONTRIBUTING TO OUR MISSION
Providing high quality educational and research experiences can be costly, yet we are committed to making excellent opportunities available to all. If you would like to help us in this journey, we ask that you consider contributing to one of the following funds:
- The Epidemiology and Community Health Department Fund gives us the most flexibility. We use this fund primarily to host special events focusing on our students, alumni, faculty, and general community. Good examples of these types of activities are bringing in outside speakers, organizing community and advisory committee meetings, and hosting informational sessions for prospective students.
- The Ms. Camina Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the life and memory of the late Ms. Camina Davis, a faculty member who made indelible contributions to UNC Charlotte’s undergraduate public health programs and to community health in our region. Once fully endowed, this fund will target undergraduate students in the Department of Public Health Sciences, with priority consideration given to students with financial need and a commitment to a career that advances community health
- The Donna C. Arrington Public Health Graduate Scholarship was established in recognition of Donna Arrington’s pioneering public health work, highlighted by her contributions as the first Executive Director of the Regional HIV/Aids Consortium. This scholarship supports students who are destined to become tomorrow’s public health leaders working for social justice.
