Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: I chose the UNC Charlotte MPH program because I was very eager to start building my knowledge base in epidemiology, and UNC Charlotte has the early-entry option. My personal philosophy is that if you have to pay for your classes then you should cram as much information into your head as you can, and early-entry allows me to do that. I also like the emphasis that I have seen placed on recognizing the impact of social issues on health. It makes me confident that I am going to be properly prepared to do good in my future career and to recognize the impact of my own biases so that I do not forget the people that datapoints represent.
