Message from the Interim Chair

Hello and welcome to the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health (ECH), a group of dedicated researchers, educators, and future public health leaders located within the College of Health and Human Services.
Our shared mission is clear: to enhance public health at local, national, and global levels through evidence-based research, high-quality student learning opportunities, and strong collaborations with the community. Guided by our values, our vision “to proactively advance public health through innovative, evidence-based solutions that create meaningful, community-centered impacts” remains steadfast.
We encourage you to explore our CEPH-accredited academic programs:
Undergraduate:
- Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH)
- Minor in Public Health
- Early entry to the Master of Public Health (MPH)
Graduate:
- Master of Public Health (MPH) with concentrations in epidemiology and community health practice
- Dual degrees in Health Informatics and Analytics (MPH/MS) and Anthropology (MPH/MA)
- Doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees in Epidemiology and Public Health Sciences
