“Conversations of the Heart” Symposium to Address Organ Donation Shortages
Over 120,000 patients in the U.S. are currently waiting for a lifesaving organ. The organ shortage affects millions of patients worldwide. In 2016, the White House issued a nationwide call to action to overcome the grand challenge of providing new organs and reconstructive surgery to patients in need, including transplant patients and wounded veterans. The Charlotte Community is answering the call.
