Where I’m From: Syracuse, NY

Public Health Interests: Health Equity, Addiction, Health Policy, Patient Advocacy, Mental Health

Public Health Experience: I completed my senior capstone for undergrad at Crouse Hospital in the emergency room focusing on factors that contribute to the opioid crisis and barriers to treatment. I also am an advocate for my patients as an EMS provider. I also do my best to educate my patients on preventative health so they can start to take action to better their lifestyles.

Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: UNC Charlotte was the very first MPH program to fully admit me into the program, and everyone that I have interacted with has provided me with lots of great information and has been extremely welcoming. I also wanted to venture out and explore a new area and face new challenges. This program was the best option for me to feel welcome and excel with my academics.

More About Me: I love to travel and explore new places; I studied abroad in Italy the summer prior to my senior year of undergrad. I love helping people! I am a Nationally Registered EMT with three state EMT certifications and a Certified Pharmacy Technician. My ultimate goal is to become a physician that uses Public Health as a foundation to change the healthcare system for all individuals involved to benefit from. I also have interests in working on Addiction Policy and Education to help decrease stigma while assisting individuals with substance use disorders to navigate barriers so they are able to obtain proper treatment, especially those with co-occurring disorders.
