Public Health Experience: I started my Bachelors of Science in Public Health in October 2019 where at my University I joined various public health societies and events. I was a member of public health society where we collaborated on many events regarding cancer awareness, hypertension, and hygiene with collaboration of other societies from different universities. I also volunteered as public health event manager at Cancer Com. Also, I volunteer as Trainer coordinator of MUN (model united nations) educating high school students of research principles and presentation skills related to Covid-19. My first part time job was when I was second year as I was a Health educator at LFPA (Lebanese family planning association) giving education on sexual and reproductive health. We also worked on research regarding awareness level of Syrian immigrants on their contraceptives where I was associated with data collection. At my last year I was placed at Imam Sadr Foundation for Public Health internship where I observed different Health sectors and gained better understanding of public health system. I also learned about how public health was associated with each sector and designed public health plans with each sector. I also worked on mental health assessments and SDOH assessments with patients. I was also trained on proper report writing techniques and participated in qualitative research as interviewing patients for research. In 2023 when i finished my internship I went to the United States to start a new journey Where I did struggle finding a job related to my domain until I found a Full-time position as Behavioral Health counselor at Alexander Youth Network where I gained experience with mental health population and teaching them self-awareness and had chance to use various behavioral modification techniques related to hygiene, emotional intelligence, and coping skills.
