Hometown: Cary, NC
Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Public Health and Sociology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte
Public Health Interests: The two main areas I am interested in are accessibility to mental health resources among underserved communities as well as suicide prevention for adolescents and young adults.
Public Health Experience: I have experience working as a Peer Educator with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) on UNC Charlotte’s campus. For the last two years, I have been working with CAPS to create and implement programs focusing on suicide prevention and overall mental wellbeing on our campus.
Why I chose UNC Charlotte MPH Program: I chose UNC Charlotte’s MPH program because I want to continue to learn about and make an impact on the Charlotte region. This program offers exactly what I was looking for in that it has a small cohort and knowledgeable faculty and staff.
