Academic Background: Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Psychology from State University of New York University at Albany

Public Health Interests: My interests are in Maternal and Child Health, Community Health, Health Equity, and Epidemiology.

Public Health Experience: During my last semester in undergrad, I had the privilege to intern with the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Communicable Disease Control. I was a part of “Team Cluster Buster.” Our team assisted in conducting food-borne disease investigations in which we contacted each infected person and interviewed them. The data obtained from the interviews were entered into the database. Each call ended with health education and the individual was informed of any work and/or school restrictions until their symptoms have stopped.
