Academic Background: Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in African American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles

Where I’m From: San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Public Health Interests: I am interested in improving the standards of care and health outcomes for pregnant people and their infants pre and postpartum in hopes of working towards a more equitable and healthier society.

Public Health Experience: Throughout my undergraduate career, I served in various community service organizations within Los Angeles and abroad focused on social justice and advocacy. This led to future work as an allied health professional and in turn, cultivated my passion for working alongside underserved folks facing different health disparities.

Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: As a dual master’s student in Public Health and Health Informatics and Analytics, I hope to collaborate with those focused on reducing health disparities in our local communities.
