Public Health Experience: My experience consists of a paid internship over the summer for 10 weeks at the University of Alabama. We focused on quantifying fecal contamination in Alabama Rivers. I assisted with performing a methods comparison between R-cards, IDEXX Colilert trays, and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR). I am currently employed at Solving Autism as a Behavior Technician. My responsibilities include assisting behavior analysts in providing treatment plans, monitoring patients’ behavior, recording/analyzing patient’s progress, and empathizing with clients and families.
Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: The main reason I decided to pursue the UNC Charlotte MPH program is to delve deeper into my community and make a lasting impact on future generations. I believe that the resources and connections the Master’s program has to offer will allow me to have a successful epidemiology journey.
