Public Health Experience: My professional background has primarily been in clinical practice across various healthcare settings, where I developed a strong foundation in patient care. Over time, I discovered a passion for addressing the broader challenges faced by both patients and healthcare workers, which led me to pursue Epidemiology as my area of focus. I believe epidemiology is a fundamental tool for driving meaningful change in public health. Through my experiences, I have come to appreciate the crucial role of data and analysis in understanding and improving health outcomes. However, my primary passion lies in health policy and advocacy. I am particularly fascinated by how the intersection of time, place, and policy influences health outcomes, and I am dedicated to advancing health equity by improving access to care and addressing systemic barriers in healthcare delivery.
Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: I chose this program for it’s quality and location.
